White-tailed Deer, Wild Turkeys, Jack and Cottontail Rabbits,
Snowshoe Hare, Mink, Red Fox and Porcupine are some of the mammals
native to the area. Red-winged Blackbirds, Ovenbirds, Ruffed Grouse,
Red-tailed Hawks, Marsh Hawks, Killdeer, Common Loons, Belted
Kingfishers, and Rose-breasted Grosbeaks are some of the many
bird species discovered here. Some of the plants which occur here
include Sensitive Fern, Small-flowered Cranesbill, Jack-in-the-Pulpit,
Trillium, Jewelweed and Wild Lily-of-the-Valley. Tree species
range from Red Pine and Balsam Fir to Trembling Aspen and Sugar
Maple.
