Effective immediately, the government of Ontario has declared a second provincial emergency under s 7.0.1 (1) of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMCPA). The provincial state of emergency came into effect as of January 13, 2021 at 12:01 a.m.
Effective Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., the government has issued a stay-at-home order requiring everyone to remain at home with exceptions for essential purposes, such as going to the grocery store or pharmacy, accessing health care services, for exercise or for essential work. The stay-at-home order will remain in place for at least 28 days. The provincial government is requiring that all businesses must ensure that any employee who can work from home, does work from home.
With this direction, we are formally closing the Administration Office in Formosa until February 10, 2021.
Although Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority’s (SVCA) Administration Office is closed, staff are working from home to comply with the Province of Ontario’s Stay-at-Home Order. The health and safety of staff and our communities is of paramount importance. There will be no interruption to our services as staff will continue to be accessible via e-mail or telephone, as required.
